Pride commemorates and celebrates the unlikely alliance formed during the Miners' strike of 1984-1985 between a group of London-based gay and lesbian activists and a community of striking Welsh miners. The two groups connect through their outsider status and become united through empathy and acceptance.
After the screening, students learn more about themes, issues and historical context and focus on narrative techniques and film language.
Session includes film, short interval and a 40 minute discussion.
Bookings
To make a new booking, a minimum of 50 students is required.
