Create eye-catching video artworks, and explore projection mapping techniques.
In this workshop, students explore the history of projection art and mapping, before creating their own video artworks to be projected within ACMI's blacked-out studio.
Students will use simple projection mapping software, before creating their video works using editing software. Great for Media students interested in using video in new ways, and Visual Arts students keen on exploring digital projection techniques.
Students will:
- explore projection art and projection mapping as a presentation mode
- create video artworks that are mapped to the bespoke setup for the day
- explore colour, pacing, and spacing through their video works
- watch and reflect upon their works via projector in blacked-out studio space
Important information
This is a full day program for upwards of 28 students. It is pitched at Year 9 & 10 however Year 11 and 12 students are also welcome.
This workshop does not involve a visit to any exhibition.
