Celebrating the interconnection between music, art + design, Reverb is a major multimedia exhibition featuring audiovisual installations & sonic experiences.
Reverb has been curated by Sean Bidder, creative director at the independent music and arts enterprise The Vinyl Factory, London, and curator and exhibition organiser at 180 Studios, where Reverb was presented.
Artists include: Stan Douglas, Jenn Nkiru, Carsten Nicolai, Gabriel Moses, Cecilia Bengolea, Jeremmy Deller, Kahlil Joseph, William Kentridge, Julianknxx, and Virgil Abloh.
In this exhibition, students will be able to:
- Jump on the technics and play with endlessly remixable vinyl loops
- Witness a fantasy rap battle racing down copper lines from Cairo to London. Roam The Vinyl Factory’s eclectic archive of 100 pressings from Massive Attack, Grace Jones, Daft Punk and more
- Head to the Listening Room and select from a curated collection of records for some deep listening. This London hit is an acoustically optimised sanctuary for pristine sound
- experience The Vinyl Factory Collection, and original commissions shown to celebrate 20 years of artistic collaborations.
There will be plenty for Level 9 & 10 and VCE Music students, whilst Visual Arts, Media Arts, and Dance students are sure to also enjoy this audio and visual feast.
