ACMI School Access Fund

ACMI is proud to launch the School Access Fund – a new initiative providing subsidies to help eligible primary and secondary students to participate in ACMI’s 2026 programs for schools.

At ACMI, we believe every child deserves the opportunity to learn, create and be inspired, regardless of their circumstances. The School Access Fund will help to reduce barriers to engagement with ACMI.

The fund supports eligible schools with transport to ACMI and/or ACMI education program costs.

What support is available?

  • Transport subsidies – to help with the cost of travel to and from ACMI
  • Ticket subsidies – to support attendance at ACMI exhibitions and participation in education programs.

Who is eligible?

The School Access Fund is designed to support schools who find excursions to

ACMI to be a challenge. We welcome applications from Victorian Government

schools with a high Student Family Occupation and Education (SFOE) index, and in

some cases, low-fee non-Government schools.

How to apply

Applications are open from October 2025 until funds are exhausted.

Applications will be assessed by the ACMI Education team, and we will be in touch

within 5 business days of your request to confirm whether your subsidy has been

approved.

We gratefully acknowledge the late Linda White, whose generous bequest established the ACMI School Access Fund, supporting access for students who face barriers to visiting ACMI. Linda’s lifelong commitment to education and equitable access to the arts continue to live on through this program.

Support ACMI’s School Access Fund

A donation to the School Access Fund enables even more school children to experience the transformative power of screen culture. You'll be opening doors to creativity, sparking curiosity and empowering the next generation.

Every dollar donated directly provides transport and ticket subsidies for students who would otherwise miss out on the chance to visit ACMI.
