From their birth in comics, to becoming the subject of major block-buster films, television programs and games, Superhero characters form the core of many fandoms. As part of the Australian Research Council (ARC) Linkage funded research project Superheroes and Me, the team took to local Australian pop-culture conventions to ask fans and celebrity guests what being a superhero means to them.
