I'm Ersin Han Ersin. I'm an artist and director of London-based experiential collective Marshmallow Laser Feast.

We are a collective of artists, makers, designers who are working with biology, ecology, botany. We work with screen based media, real-time computing and multi sensory storytelling to create experiences that are often inspired by the living world and our relationship to it.

We utilise all new technologies as a lens, as an enabler to express something that wouldn't be possible otherwise. So, in that respect it's a tool for us to see the world beyond the limits of human senses. We get really excited by the ability to create moments, express certain feelings but also bring participatory action of audiences into our work.

Being in nature is quite an essential part of our practice, immersing ourselves in a location first and trying to untangle the unique features and the stories that we can take and implement into our experiences.

How it feels to be there is always a starting point and then comes the research phase ecological surveys, Lidar scanning, photogrammetry, field recordings; it's a huge data and experience-gathering process that is sometimes tucked away and hidden inside of the experience other times it becomes the main defining factor of how it looks how it sounds and and how it feels.

Works of Nature is culmination of five works that are primarily trying to communicate one unified message that your body doesn't end with your skin and you can extend your sense of self to include forests, an entire living web of beings and looking at the world with this understanding of if you hold on to something it's always entangled with other things and by simply tracing the threads you can see the entire connectedness of all living beings.

It's really important to feel that you are part of this Living Earth and expanding yourself into it, you are doing it not because you have to you doing it because you in love, so it's really important for us to create a positive message. Here are all the all the magical miraculous things that happens all around you and you are part of it, and if you can care for it today, you will care for it tomorrow.
