ACMI presents

ACMI Relaxed Visits

When

Sat 18 Jul 2026

9–10.30am

Join us when the whole museum runs a relaxed, low-sensory session for a calmer visit.

Relaxed visits offer a low-sensory experience across the whole museum - quieter sounds, softer lighting, and a calmer atmosphere. Developed with guidance and advice from Arts Access Victoria.

Suited for visitors with ASD, sensory sensitivities or anyone who would benefit from a quieter and less busy setting, our relaxed visits give you a chance to explore ACMI, in an environment that suits you.

Please note: you don't need to book for a relaxed visit to our free exhibition Story of the Moving Image, but tickets to Reverb: This is a journey into sound and Play School: Come and Play! are required.

Relaxed visits have:

  • adjusted sound and lighting in some exhibits to ensure less stimulation
  • reduced visitor numbers in the exhibitions
  • a dedicated quiet room.
