ACMI Table Reads

Scripts between 20–130 pages in length are eligible. We cannot facilitate readings shorter than 30 mins or in excess of 120 mins.

If submitting a series, in your application please indicate the total number of pages for all episodes you wish to have read.

All types of writing for the screen are eligible: mid-length and feature screenplays, tv pilots, web-series, narration and narrative design for documentary, narrative design and dialogue for video games and XR projects, etc.

ACMI will work directly with the writer, providing access to our black-box style theatre, AV equipment and support, furniture and ticketing (via private ACMI link).

ACMI can not provide actors or an audience for the reading. Writers will need to source their own performers (maximum of eight people) and invite their own network to attend as the audience.

In order to ensure a safe environment for writers to present early-stage and/or embargoed work, ACMI Table Reads are closed sessions. The participating writer will be provided with a private ticketing link (50 pax) to share with their network and anyone they wish to invite to the reading.

Readings can be filmed and live-streamed via a private Zoom link, upon request.
