Watch party

Join Maria Lewis as we revisit Mariah Carey’s misunderstood musical biopic, Glitter, for its 20th anniversary.

What makes you think that’s the best of me?”

Billie Frank

Mariah Carey stars as Billie Frank, a scrappy singer with a once-in-a-lifetime voice, in this pseudo-biopic directed by character actor Vondie Curtis-Hall.

An infamous critical and commercial flop at the time, Glitter has gone on to become a treasured pop culture entity among Mariah fans – Lambs – who pushed the film’s soundtrack to hit number one on the US Billboard Charts 19 years after its release.

Join best-selling author, screenwriter and Mariah Carey fanatic Maria Lewis for this very special in-person screening at ACMI’s Swinburne Studio to celebrate the film's 20th anniversary.

The Twitter watch party kicks off at the same on Twitter featuring behind-the-scenes info, interviews and special guests via the #ACMIwatches.
