When

Mon 22 Aug 2022

The reign of House Targaryen begins. Join us in the cinema for the premiere episode of the prequel series to Game of Thrones in glorious 4K.

Taking inspiration from George R. R. Martin’s 2018 novel Fire & Blood, the highly anticipated prequel series to Game of Thrones (2011–19) transports us back to Westeros.

With direction by Showrunner Miguel Sapochnik, this opening episode is in very safe hands. After directing some of Game of Thrones’ most highly regarded episodes including the Emmy award-winning ‘Battle of the Bastards’, Sapochnik carries more than enough Westerosi cred. And although the series is far removed from its predecessor set two centuries before the Battle of Winterfell, some faces familiar to many have been cast including Paddy Considine (24 Hour Party People) and Matt Smith (The Crown) alongside Australia’s Ryan Corr (Holding the Man) and Milly Alcock (Pine Gap).

House of the Dragon premieres on Monday 22 August. Available to stream on Binge and watch on Foxtel.
