With the 78th Cannes Film Festival fast approaching, we're spotlighting past works by the filmmakers selected to screen in competition. Get up to speed with their most recent films so you can hit the ground running when the fresh crop of Cannes films land on Australian shores.

To kick off our program we're screening a free session of short films by Jafar Panahi whose new film A Simple Accident will compete for the coveted Palme d'Or.

We'll present the Australian Premiere of Ukrainian director Sergei Loznitsa's 2024 film The Invasion which chronicles life in his home country under attack by Russia. Their films will screen alongside festival regulars Joachim Trier, Kelly Reichardt and Dominik Moll.
