The third film in Joachim Trier's Oslo Trilogy follows a twenty-something Oslovian navigating life while in a constant state of flux.

Julie (Renate Reinsve) is approaching thirty and finds life ever-changing. After years working towards her medical degree, she decides to change to psychology before settling on photography. After having a relationship with her lecturer, she has a brief flirtation with a model before finding herself in a relationship with an older boyfriend. He is ready to settle down.

She can't.

One night, while crashing a party, Julie makes an effort not to change things further, but there are more changes to come.

Joachim Trier's highly acclaimed film rounds out his Oslo Trilogy following Reprise (2006) and Oslo, August 31st (2011). This third film premiered at the 74th Cannes Film Festival, where Renate Reinsve won the award for Best Actress. The film also went on to receive two Academy Award nominations.

In 2025, Joachim Trier and Renate Reinsvereturns to Cannes with their new film Sentimental Value.
