ACMI presents

First Nations Film Club

Please note

In line with new COVIDSafe measures to keep Victorians safe, we have postponed the Basically Black event on 1 June. If you have registered for this session we will be in touch with you via email soon.

We will reschedule this session to a later date. In the meantime please sign up to our newsletters to keep informed of future First Nations Film Club events. Thanks for your understanding.

ACMI is proud to launch a new monthly meet-up for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people to watch and discuss First Nations films.

The Club will watch films from ACMI's collection and beyond, looking back on the trailblazing storytellers and seminal works that have paved the way for First Peoples stories on screen. Guest speakers will join our host to share their experiences and inspire us, and the Club will offer a range of opportunities to connect and learn new skills.

If you identify as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander and would like to find out more about the Club, register via this form. Hosted live at ACMI and online, we invite First Nations people from all over Australia to express your interest and be involved.
