Learn how to improve the representation of Australian women and non-binary creators online with the help of the Wikimedia Australia team.
Wikipedia is one of the most popular websites in the world; when you search something online, Wikipedia is often one of the top results. In this workshop, staff and volunteers from Wikimedia Australia will show you how to edit Wikipedia and improve articles about the Australian women and gender-transcending superstars of cinema featured in ACMI's Goddess: Power, Glamour, Rebellion exhibition. Help us ensure that women and non-binary creators are represented and that information about them is accurate and accessible to all.
No prior experience is necessary. Just sign up for a Wikipedia account in advance and bring along your laptop. We’ll provide the Wi-fi, tea, coffee and kitchen facilities.
Before the workshops begin, you will be taken on a brief tour of the Goddess exhibition, led by ACMI Curator Julia Murphy.
There are two available sessions and spaces are limited, so book now.
