Flex your emotional muscles this spring with two thoughtful Studio Ghibli films that offer personal and otherworldly adventures with heroines taking the lead.

We're all intelligent in different ways. Some of us are great with numbers, some with words – and some of us shine when it comes to emotional intelligence. The good news is that emotional intelligence is something we can build, and watching films is a great way to practise.

During the spring school holidays, we’re exploring two of Studio Ghibli's anime films led by female characters: Whisper of the Heart and The Cat Returns. Each session begins with a short curator-led introduction to key emotional intelligence concepts. Afterwards, you can pick up an activity kit designed to help curious minds continue learning at home.
