Running for freedom, racing for our nation.

A gripping sports drama based on true events, depicting the journey of Korean marathon runners overcoming adversity to compete in the Boston Marathon after World War II. "Now that our country is free, our records should be too!" After setting a world record at the 1936 Berlin Olympics and making history, Korean marathoner Sohn Kee-chung was forced to compete under Japan’s flag. Despite being celebrated as a hero, he was banned from competing ever again. In 1947, two years after Korea’s liberation, Sohn meets rising runner Suh Yun-bok and urges him to join the Boston Marathon – this time, under the Korean flag. Barely having enough money for even a pair of running shoes, these young athletes embark on an unforgettable journey to reclaim their nation’s pride on the world stage.

It’s a story that can only be told after running all the way to the end.
