“I'd like to share food with you before it's too late.”
Chef Lim Ji-ho uses nature's ingredients; grass, weeds, algae and branches to create dishes. He shares simple homespun cuisine that draws on regional techniques with those he meets on this travels, especially the elderly, forming bonds with them. He's particularly attached to Granny Kim Soon-gyoo, whom he met in a rural village near Jiri Mountain 10 years ago.
When tragedy befalls one of his beloved friends, Lim Ji-ho undertakes a gargantuan feast of 108 dishes to honour the mothers who birthed him, who raised him and stayed attached to him, and to process and express his grief.
