“This is a story about waiting.”

Young-ho (Kang Ha-neul) struggles to find purpose in his life. After studying for three years to enter university, he decides to send a letter to his childhood friend So-yeon (Lee Seol), but unbeknown to him she is sick, and her younger sister So-hee (Chun Woo-hee), who takes care of her, receives the letter instead. So-hee runs a secondhand bookstore with her mother and feels just as unfulfilled as Young-ho does, and so, when she replies to his letter pretending to be her sister, the kindred spirits enter into an ongoing correspondence with each other.
