June Squibb stars as a nonagenarian who sets out to find the scammers who duped her out of a fortune in Josh Margolin's action-comedy gem.

Thelma Post (June Squibb) is a feisty 93-year-old grandmother keen to hold on to her independence. After a scam phone caller swindles her out of ten thousand dollars, Thelma sets out on a treacherous quest across Los Angeles, accompanied by an ageing friend and his motorised scooter to reclaim what was taken from her.

Curator's Note

There will be action, there will be drama and someone is definitely going to get what's coming to them!

Directed by Josh Margolin and inspired by the real-life experience of his own grandmother, Thelma is an hilarious rollercoaster ride with one of cinema's most endearing action stars at the helm. Academy Award-nominee June Squibb (Nebraska) leads an ingeniously cast ensemble including Parker Posey (Best in Show), Fred Hechinger (The White Lotus) and Richard Roundtree best known for his genre-defining performance in Shaft, appearing here in his final role.

Thelma premiered at the Sundance Film Festival in January and has been winning hearts at festivals around the world ever since.
