Melbourne International Film Festival (MIFF) 2026

The Melbourne International Film Festival lights up Melbourne this winter with bold, thought-provoking movies, unique events, vital voices and films you won’t find anywhere else. More than 250 hits from the international festival circuit will have their Victorian premieres, with many screening exclusively at the festival.

MIFF showcases the most talked-about films of the year, featuring world premieres, award winners, and highly anticipated titles from Venice, Cannes, Berlin, and Sundance. The program also includes a rich lineup of special events, international talent, filmmaker Q&As, XR experiences, talks, and the prestigious Bright Horizons competition, along with the return of the MIFF Festival Hub at ACMI.

MIFF Industry offers a diverse range of programs, including professional development opportunities, masterclasses, and content financing initiatives. It attracts leading industry professionals from Australia and around the world.
