TILDE – Australia’s trans and gender diverse Screen Festival – focuses those on the margins: people who live, work and create on the periphery of dominant cultures.
As we enter a new era of trans-authored cinema, we look to Australia’s emerging filmmakers to convey trans experiences through a new visual language.
TILDE presents 4 trans-authored short films, including 3 world premieres from multidisciplinary artists that cross-boundaries by experimenting with form, music and the filmmaking process itself. Combined they showcase a kind of lightness and levity that as a community we need right now.
Join us in ACMI Cinemas for a filmmaker introduction hosted by Takatāpui actor/writer Kikki Temple.
