When
A powerful documentary exploring the struggle of Indigenous communities to protect their ancestral lands, forests and ways of life in the face of rapid development.
Through the voices and experiences of West Papuan communities, the film reveals the human and environmental impacts of large-scale agricultural expansion, while reflecting on the deep cultural connections between people, land and tradition.
A compelling and urgent portrait of West Papua, Pesta Babi asks what is lost when customary lands become sites of development—and who gets to decide the future of the land.
