A fun, free program created for two to five year-olds to enjoy ACMI with their parent, grandparent or carer.
Join us each month for a guided play-based experience designed to help young learners engage with ideas and concepts explored at ACMI – your museum of film, TV, videogames and digital art.
Each month we focus on a different theme, so there is always something new to enjoy and discover!
Fri 27 Feb - Light & Shadow play - Inspired by the art and history of shadow puppetry, create silhouette artworks that explore the interplay between light and shadow. After the session visit our museum, the Story of the Moving Image.
Fri 20th Mar - Through the windows thaumatrope’s - Explore animation by making your own pre-cinematic toy, the thaumatrope. Don't forget to book a time to go to the Play School: Come and Play! exhibition.
Please note
- ACMI Preschoolers is suitable for all preschool children from ages two to five years.
- This is not a drop-off session, and carers must be with children at all times.
- Pram parking and nappy changing areas available.
- Participants are asked to arrive 10 minutes before session start time, as session will start on time.
