Black Comedy co-writer and star Nakkiah Lui returns to our screens as a young Aboriginal woman surrounded by doomsday preppers.
Charlie's world has just ended. Escaping her life as a breakfast television host, she returns to Country only to find her Nan’s land has been leased to Monty (Uncle Jack Charles) and has been repurposed as a doomsday preppers’ commune. Charlie, Monty and an eccentric assemblage of outcasts work together to prepare for every possible end to the world – be it pandemic, nuclear war, global warming or biblical apocalypse.
From the sharp comedic minds of Gabriel Downick and Nakkiah Lui (Black Comedy) who also stars as Charlie alongside a stacked supporting cast including Aaron McGrath, Meyne Wyatt, Ursula Yovich, Eryn-Jean Norvill and Brooke Satchwell, Preppers is for anyone who was blown away by Lui’s legendary appearance on the finale of Get Krack!n and wondered... what happened next?
