Hand painted magic lantern slipping slide ‘Le Nez d’Arlequin’ -‘ The Harlequin’s Nose’ or ‘Punch with Long Nose’ with wooden frame. Manufactured by E.Mazo, Paris. By moving the slipping slide, a harlequin’s nose grows longer and three small children appear on the tip. The words ‘Punch’s Long Nose’ is etched vertically in to the glass plate.
