It started as an experiment, with Canadian filmmakers Graeme Ferguson, Roman Kroiter and Robert Kerr setting out to see if they could make a massive, multi-screen experience. Famously the group pulled off the complicated task of syncing nine film projectors to create a large screen installation. More than 50 years since it debuted at EXPO ‘67 in Montreal, IMAX has become synonymous with cinematic innovation. Championed by pioneering filmmakers like Christopher Nolan, James Cameron and J.J.
