Giancarlo came to Melbourne on board a ship in 1965 at the age of 15 and started work. By the age of 21 he had bought his first house. Giancarlo is now the president of the Ballarat Italian Association and celebrates “the positive contribution of Italians to Australia”. Created as part of the Racconti: La Voce del Popolo Digital Storytelling in association with The Italian Federation of Migrant Workers and their Families (FILEF).
