A series of doctor-patient interviews acquaint the viewer with the symptomatology of various types of schizophrenic disturbances. In an unusual sequence, a patient with paranoid tendencies is shown undergoing electro-convulsive therapy. The director of the hospital tells of the hospital’s goals in this and other forms of treatment.
