Three Aboriginal legends gathered from tribal elders by student teachers from Kormilda College, Darwin are retold with accompanying illustrations by the students. The titles include: “The thirsty Sandfrog” - story by Miriam Rose Wilson, artist Ralph Gumudul; “The Witchdoctor and the two giants” - story by Lionel Jabanangga James, artist David Gentian; “Why the Kangaroo hops” - story by Nugget Jabangadi James, artist Neville Jabangadi Poulson. These stories and pictures can be found in the book entitled “Djugurba. Narrated by Juliana Allan, Wynne Nelson and Peter Gwynne.
