The second part of a trilogy based on the memoirs of the writer Maxim Gorky dealing with early experiences that formed his outlook. In this part Alexei (Gorky) now a teenager, works as a servant, becomes an assistant cook on a Volga transport ship then an assistant to a painter of icons. Also available on 16mm and VHS. Part 1 (The Childhood of Maxim Gorki) available on 16mm, 35mm and VHS. Part 3 (My Universities) of the trilogy available on 16mm and VHS. ‘The Gorky Trilogy’ also available as one title on VHS.
