‘Landline’ is the ABC’s national rural issues program.
This episode investigates the conventionally accepted history of the invention and development of the combine harvester. The widely held belief that a young Victorian, Hugo Victor McKay, was the inventor of the world’s first such machine is exposed as a myth.
First broadcast on 13th March, 2005.
