Australian cinematographer Christopher Doyle talks about how time operates in his filmmaking, how life experience has shaped his work, the role of repetition, structure and movement in cinematogrpahy, how space informs and influences his technique, and about the collaborative process of filmmaking.
Includes clips from ‘Paranoid Park’ 2007; ‘Days of Being Wild’ (A Fei zheng chuan), 1990; ‘Happy Together’ (Chun gwong cha sit), 1997; ‘In the Mood for Love’ (Fa yeung nin wa), 2000; and ‘Fallen Angels’ (Duo luo tian shi), 1995.
