My love of stories and my love of the bush grew at the same time. Stories bring the land to life. A story about a man’s connection to his Indigenous ancestors through the Victorian Alpine country and the stories that would pass through the generations, especially the one about the Dulugar, a fierce creature said to exist in the region, haunting campers with their red eyes and devil-like smell.
