On Thursday September 17, 2009 ACMI’s new permanent screen culture exhibition Screen Worlds, was officially launched. The red carpet, VIP event attracted world wide attention with the attendance of both internationally recognised and home grown guests and artists. Kicking off the formalities was ACMI’s Board President, John Thwaites, followed by ACMI Director Tony Sweeney, Oscar® Winning Actress Cate Blanchett, Victorian Arts Minister Lynne Kosky and Victorian Premier John Brumby.
Following this, the ribbon is cut and guests enter the exhibition for the first time.
