Yuji Naka is a videogame designer and programmer, best known as the former head of Sonic Team, where he was the lead programmer of the original ‘Sonic the Hedgehog’. Naka reveals his initial desire to make arcade games and the influence that Yu Suzuki has had on his career as a programmer. Since 2006 he has been the head of Prope, an independent game company he founded after leaving SEGA.
Yuji gives great insights into the development and creation of ‘Sonic the Hedgehog 1 and 2’, ‘Nights into Dreams’ and ‘Chu Chu Rocket’.
