This silent, black-and-white footage of some of the major landmarks of London was shot in 1963–1964 by Australian photographer Robert Lennox Suggett.
Opens with the Royal Marines Band playing, filmed as they march past the Duke of York Column and Waterloo Steps.
00:00:46:00 then Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, Alec Douglas-Home, farewelling a visitor on the steps of Number 10 Downing Street (the headquarters of British government).
00:01:11:00 camera pans down Nelson’s Column (a monument in Trafalgar Square, central London, commemorating Admiral Horatio Nelson.) We then see scenes of Trafalgar Square, with the National Gallery building and fountain both visible.

00:01:28:00 London traffic, with the camera focussing especially on cabs (taxis).
