If you’ve ever wanted to know what hacking is really like, Hacknet is the game for you. Simulating a true-to-life terminal environment, the game tasks the player with using computer commands similar to what a real hacker would use. These skills are put to use solving the murder of a character named Bit, who contacts the player through a computer program initiated after their death.
Developed by Adelaide-based Matt Trobbiani, Hacknet aims to create a mix between over-the-top movie-style hacking and a realistic experience: the game is played through command lines and multiple computer windows.
Hacknet launch trailer from Fellow Traveller.
