Cyberthon V: Spectrum 4 – Green was broadcast as the fourth of eight in an episodic series on Channel 31 in Melbourne. This format allowed for the creation of tighter, curated segments for broadcast instead of the impromptu, marathon-like events of the previous Cyberthons.

As well as electronic music, art, remixed footage (from previous Cyberthon events), guerrilla style music videos, drug and rave safe promotions, experimental performances and short films, global participation was also encouraged via online production meetings. As Cyberthon curator Adem Jaffers said “Cyberthon had become a public TV ‘Access Show’ nested within a public TV ‘Access Channel’ [which was] quite unique really!”

Cyberthon V: Spectrum 4 – Green is part of the Cyberthon Archive generously donated to ACMI by Adem Jaffers.
