‘Cyberthon I: For the Mind Body and Soul’ was the first guerrilla TV broadcast event of its namesake following the success of the Cyberdelia broadcast a year earlier. Conceptualised as a ‘marathon cyber’ event, ‘Cyberthon I: For the Mind Body and Soul’ saw a group of artists broadcast, remix, VJ and DJ mastered footage, experimental Amiga graphics and electronic art alongside performers and a live band at RMITV’s studio in Melbourne. Collaborator and curator to the events, Adem Jaffers said this is where the Cyberthon events really began and over the next four years they would expand in scope to feature over 300 VJ’s, DJ’s, artists, performers and collaborators.
Visual Artists: Nuero (Adem Jaffers), Cyber Dada (Troy Innocent, Dale Nason and Elena Popa), Future Films (Jeff Jaffers), Interscreen (Kimberley Hughes), Don’t Shoot the Messenger (Steve Middleton and Attillio Gangemi)
