It seems fitting that for a band with such an unusual musical reputation like The Avalanches, the accompanying visuals to ‘Since I Left You’ would be so unique as well. Directed by Rob Leggatt and Leigh Marling from the Blue Source art collective, it manages to combine familiar pop culture touchstones like Flashdance (1983) with the utterly surreal as two miners burrow through a black and white world into full colour.
