A love letter to Melbourne – where Paul Kelly lived during the late 70s – the music video for ‘Leaps and Bounds’ (1987) shows sweeping views across the city’s skyline and much-loved landmarks like the MCG, which is also namechecked in the song’s opening line. Directed by Mike Bell, Kelly and band were filmed playing on top of the Punt Road silos for the clip which is beloved for its time capsule quality.
