Song to Sing – Archie Roach

Australia, 2012

℗ 2012 Bloodlines. (Roach)

Film
An Indigenous Elder, Uncle Jack Charles, walking down a country road in a black suit next to tall grass in black and white

Strongly influenced by gospel in sound and style, ‘Song to Sing’ comes on the heels of Indigenous Australian musician Archie Roach suffering immense personal loss following the death of his partner two years earlier and his own health problems. The black and white video matches the uplifting rhythm of the track and features cameos from several prominent Australians including Roach himself, Jack Charles, Lou Bennett and Emma Donovan.
