Dylan River is a filmmaker who shares stories from his unique perspective as a Kaytetye man. River works across many roles including cinematography, directing, and writing, for web series, documentary, short film, and cinema.
River’s film A Good Eye for Story is a quirky and intimate picture looking at the framework for which he shares his ideas and the impact that his family, community and the landscape around Alice Springs have had on his growing practice as a storyteller.
“This film explores my journey over the past ten years of being behind the cinema camera. The way my eye has changed from looking at images as being formulaic to appreciating the story behind every one.” – Dylan River
