When Australian of the Year Grace Tame, an activist and advocate for survivors of sexual assault, was asked what she thought of Prime Minister Scott Morrison’s response ‘as a father’ to rape allegations made by Brittany Higgins, Tame did not mince her words. Herself a survivor of child sexual abuse and influential in the Let Her Speak Campaign, Tame used the National Press Club address to call on fellow survivors, saying “Share your truth, it is your power. One voice, your voice, and our collective voices can make a difference”.
