Green Fingers was a series of short instructional films on home gardening tips, produced by the Victorian Department of Agriculture. In this episode, ‘Pest and Disease Control’, Rod Cantrill demonstrates how to use agricultural sprays on a rose garden at Burnley Gardens.
Diseases described include black spot, aphids and powdery mildew. The episodes of Green Fingers are an early example of popular gardening shows in the tradition of Sow What, Better Homes and Gardens, and Gardening Australia.
