After living in one of the world’s most locked-down cities, Melburnians could certainly relate to Willy the whale’s feeling of freedom in the climax of early 90s classic, Free Willy. Originally posted in 2020 at the end of Victoria’s mammoth 112-day second lockdown, the clip feels all the more relevant in 2021 after a total of 262 days spent across six periods of stay-at-home orders.
