Stargate for SNES

Australia, 1992

Videogame

This action platform side-scroller set in the sci-fi universe of Stargate has the player rescuing the slaves of Abydos, defeating the evil villain Ra and getting his team back to Earth using the Stargate device. Most missions involve finding people or items in different locations, while fending off enemies with an upgradable machine gun and grenades. In addition, two missions has the player engaging in plane dogfights in one of Ra’s flying gliders. While the overall mission is to defeat Ra, seven bomb pieces and seven hieroglyphs must be collected beforehand or the player will lose the game even if they defeat Ra.
