Ngarigo woman and women’s tennis world number one Ash Barty accepts the Daphne Akhurst Memorial Cup after a two-set victory in the Australian Open final against Danielle Collins. The trophy was bestowed on her by former world number one, Wiradjuri tennis legend Evonne Goolagong Cawley, who was crowned women’s singles champion at the Australian Open four years running, from 1974-77.
