Time changes is an experimental, self-reflexive film, comprised of footage filmed over four years by Sue Ford and her friends. Described by the artist as being “a documentary about time and change, focusing on four men who were filmmakers and close friends”, the film features friends Stuart Green, Chris Maudson, John Phillips and Paul Reed, as well as Ford, her children Emma and Ben, and artists Richard Brennan, Bonita Ely, Margo Nash and Ashe Venn. Through unscripted dialogue, the friends’ conversations range across topics such as the integrity of filmmaking and creative practice to ways of living and relationships.
