‘Screen It’ was Australia’s national film, animation and game making competition for school-aged students, run by ACMI for 16 years to 2019.
Designed to encourage imagination and inventiveness in primary and secondary school students, ‘Screen It’ fostered a new generation of young media makers. In 2012, the theme, ‘Belonging’, attracted around 400 entries.
Nine winning entries were selected across the categories of live action, animation, computer game and a special section, titled “Bullying: no way”. While some films are about fitting in, many of them advocate embracing your unique identity and subsequently being accepted by others.
Witness first-hand the amazing winning entries of the 2012 Screen It competition!
